This year, celebrate with a special screening of SPACEWOMAN followed by a live Q&A with the film’s subject and first female pilot and commander of the space shuttle, Eileen Collins. Stay after the film for a fashion show featuring the finalists of this year's annual Space Suit Design Contest.

Sign ups allow for about 35 middle school through high school aged girls to meet and interact with guest speakers from all areas of the Aviation field. Lunch is provided and a special fly in from the Life Flight Network helicopter.

We’re thrilled to share that WAI Washington State Chapter will be hosting a table at Alaska Airlines Youth in Aviation Day on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 8 AM to 4 PM. This exciting, all-day event—presented by Alaska Airlines, Boeing, and the Port of Seattle—is designed to introduce Scouts, Civil Air Patrol and other youth groups to aviation and spark aviation dreams in youth ages 11 to 18.
We need your help!
Volunteers are needed to help staff our WAI table, engage with attendees, share information about careers in aviation, and represent our chapter. It’s a great opportunity to connect with future aviators and promote the power of mentorship and community.

Chapter Meeting
Loy Anne has secured Kenmore Air location at the address 6321 NE 175th st, Kenmore WA 98028. In conjunction with Anna Horner, there will be a presentation by the "Kenmore ladies", by Anna herself and a tour of Kenmore Air Facilities. The time will still be 11 - 1:00 pm. The address is important because they have several locations.
No food will be provided.
Anna also mentioned: I would have to check availability for that day, but if anyone would be interested in scheduling an introduction flight on floats ($150 for the intro) after the meeting, we might have availability for that too! Northwest Aviation Conference
For over three decades the Washington Aviation Association has been pleased to present the Northwest Aviation Conference & Trade Show at the Washington State Fair Events Center in Puyallup, Washington.
This event has grown to over 75 hours of safety seminars and 122,000 sf of aviation displays with an annual attendance of over 10,000!

National Aviation Week
Are you ready to celebrate National Aviation Week starting on August 19? The week is flooded with events such as conferences, exhibitions, webinars, etc. to celebrate the history of aviation. The week also coincides with National Aviation Day — an occasion that celebrates the Wright brothers. Are you wondering why this week needs to be celebrated? It’s because the creation of aviation has led to globalization, and has given us the ability to travel across the world! This year, recognize the importance of aviation and celebrate the week in full swing by honoring the geniuses that contributed to the spectacular invention.

Museum of Flight – Back to School Spacewalk! - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Our chapter has been invited to participate in this engaging and innovative event for school-age learners and families!
We need volunteers to staff a table at the Resource Fair, where we will have an interactive, hands-on craft, game, or demonstration, to encourage student learning through exploration.
The event takes place from 11:00AM - 3:00PM, with the Resource Fair beginning promptly at 1:00PM. We will need volunteers to set up between 12:00-12:30PM. Red Tailed Hawk Aviation Day Camp
Aviation Day Camp July 26 - 27, 2024 We introduce underrepresented middle and high school students in the Puget Sound area to the world of aviation. We provide them with basic pilot knowledge, provide hands-on STEM experiences, teach aviation history, and provide discovery flights in general aviation aircraft.

Aerospace Camp Experience
Aerospace Camp Experience is a day camp for the budding aviator, future astronaut, or simply curious camper!
ACE offers a blend of hands-on educational activities and access to the Museum’s collection with the fun of camp to stimulate a lifelong interest in science, connect with fellow learners and begin building lifelong friendships. All campers are welcome at ACE regardless of gender, race, national origin, or religious affiliation.
If your child has an inquiring mind and wants to have fun this summer exploring the world of STEM, aviation and aerospace, ACE is the camp for you!
