Her Aviation Journey

Raquel Snow, who also goes by Snow, discovered her passion for aviation while working on a helitack crew as a wildland firefighter. Since then, her aviation journey has taken her through a remarkable range of experiences, including fixed-wing aviation work in Antarctica and her pursuit of a career in utility helicopter operations.

With the Support WAI Scholarship, Raquel plans to complete her helicopter instrument rating at Jerry Trimble Helicopters in McMinnville, Oregon, bringing her one step closer to her professional goals.

Looking Ahead

Raquel hopes to work as a utility helicopter pilot, with an interest in long-line and external cargo operations, heli-logging, and aerial firefighting.

Beyond her own career, she hopes to give back to the aviation community by mentoring women entering aviation as a second or even third career and helping introduce young girls to the many exciting paths available in aviation.
